Terms and Conditions for Job Applicants

(Applicable to the MIDA e-Jawatan Platform)

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern all job applications submitted through the MIDA e-Jawatan Platform (“the Platform”), which is managed by the Malaysian Investment Development Authority (MIDA) (“the Authority”). By submitting an application through this Platform, the applicant (“Applicant”) acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agreed to comply with these Terms. Applicants who do not agree with these Terms are advised not to proceed with the application.

2. Eligibility

2.1. Applicants must meet all eligibility requirements as stipulated in the relevant job advertisement, including but not limited to citizenship, age, academic qualifications, and relevant work experience.

2.2. The Authority reserves the right to verify the eligibility of all Applicants at any stage of the recruitment process.

2.3. Applications that do not meet the stated criteria may be rejected without further notice.

3. Accuracy of Information Submitted

3.1. All information and supporting documents submitted through the Platform must be true, accurate, complete, and current as of the date of submission.

3.2. The Applicant is responsible for ensuring that all personal details, academic records, and employment information provided are correct and verifiable.

3.3. The Authority shall not be liable for any consequences arising from incorrect, misleading, or incomplete information provided by the Applicant.

3.4. Any changes or updates to the submitted information must be promptly communicated to the Authority through the proper channel.

4. Prohibition of False or Misleading Information

4.1. Submission of false, inaccurate, or misleading information, or the omission of material facts, shall result in immediate disqualification from the recruitment process or, if discovered after appointment, termination of employment.

4.2. The Authority reserves the right to take any necessary action, including reporting such conduct to the relevant enforcement authorities.

5. Privacy and Data Protection

5.1. MIDA is committed to protecting the personal data of all Applicants in compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA) [Act 709] of Malaysia.

5.2. Personal information collected through the Platform will be used solely for purposes related to recruitment, including verification, assessment, and selection of Applicants.

5.3. By submitting an application under the Platform, the Applicant expressly consents to the collection, processing, storage, and use of their personal data by MIDA and its authorized personnel for recruitment-related purposes.

5.4. Personal data will be retained only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected or as required by applicable law.

6. Communication and Notification

6.1. All official communication between MIDA and the Applicant shall be conducted using the contact information provided during the application process.

6.2. The Applicant is responsible for ensuring that their contact details (email address, phone number, and correspondence address) are accurate and active.

6.3. Notifications issued by MIDA, including invitations to interviews or selection results, shall be deemed duly delivered once sent through the Platform, email, or other official communication channels.

6.4. MIDA shall not be responsible for any failure of communication due to inaccurate or outdated contact information provided by the Applicant.

7. Disqualification and Withdrawal Rights

7.1. MIDA reserves the right to disqualify any Applicant at any stage of the recruitment process if the Applicant fails to comply with these Terms, provides false information, or is deemed unsuitable for appointment.

7.2. The Applicant may withdraw their application at any time prior to the conclusion of the recruitment process by notifying MIDA in writing.

7.3. MIDA reserves the right to postpone, cancel, or amend any recruitment exercise at its sole discretion without assigning any reason.

8. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

8.1. MIDA shall not be liable for any loss, damage, or inconvenience arising from system interruptions, technical errors, unauthorized access, or any other malfunction of the e-Jawatan Platform.

8.2. Submission of an application does not guarantee shortlisting, interview, or appointment.

8.3. MIDA’s decision on all matters related to recruitment and selection shall be final and conclusive.

8.4. The Platform and related services are provided on an “as is” basis, and MIDA makes no warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.

9. Acceptance of Terms

By clicking “Submit,” “Apply Now,” or any equivalent submission button on the e-Jawatan Platform, the Applicant confirms that they have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions in full.

10. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia. Any disputes arising in relation to the application process shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
